EA Command & Conquer Red Alert 3
mp3 jukebox, canon digital cameraIt is safe to say I am in every sense of the word an electronic enthuasist. It can be anything from messing around with a Garmin GPS to tricking out my MP3 jukebox with new skins, anything within the electronic world really interests me. After finishing up a day of work or on those days when there is no work my favorite way to lay low and take some me time is by turning on a favorite album over the MP3 jukebox and playing video games. The setup I have been going with recently is opening up the MP3 jukebox on the computer and playing music over those speakers while playing Xbox 360 over the living room’s home theater system.

The Xbox 360 does make it possible to listen to music through it’s built in MP3 jukebox while playing a game but doing this automatically softens the game sound effects so the song is the main background noise. When playing intense online matches I want all the sound effects my home theater system can pump out.

Recently I have been playing Electronics Arts Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 after borrowing it from a friend. I have this game on PC but my computers graphics card can’t handle all of the real time strategy war action without turning the graphics way down. Even then there are moments when the gameplay starts lagging out. There are a lot of working parts in this game as you can see in the video above, which is why I wanted to play on Xbox 360. Each match can last at least an hour, making it the perfect game to play with an MP3 jukebox.

It is a whole lot of fun and I actually want to get it on Xbox 360 now. After looking around online, I came to Save Cash Time at http://www.savecashtime.com/ to see if they had it among their selection of MP3 players, Canon digital cameras, speakers and other tech gear. They did and for a cool 39.99. For those who have never played this series of futuristic strategy games, here is how Saves Cash Times described it:

fter years of conflict, the Allies are finally on the brink of victory. Cowering behind the walls of the Kremlin, the Soviets decide to turn to one last act of desperation - the use of an experimental time travel device. The mission: to go back in time to eliminate Albert Einstein before he creates the technologies that will lead the Allies to ultimate victory.
